Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University, Patna, was established by the Government of Bihar under the provisions of Bihar State Universities Act(1976) as amended up to date. Under section 3(L) of the aforesaid Act, Maulana Mazharul Haque Arabic and Persian University has been established with the headquarters at Patna and with the jurisdiction over the whole of the State of Bihar.
